Warum funktioniert die neue Richtlinie nach einem Update von udev nicht?

Ich habe udev in meinem System (Ubuntu Server 14.04 auf VM) auf Version 204-5ubuntu20.18 aktualisiert. Nach dem Neustart des Systems werden die NIC nicht nach vorhersagbaren Namen umbenannt. Namen sind eth *. Im Verzeichnis /lib/udev/rules.d/ befindet sich keine Datei 80-net-name-slot.rules. Warum funktioniert nicht eine neue Politik? Was muss ich noch tun?

"Predictable" naming for virtio devices was removed in 2014, since it wasn't actually predictable (IIRC, the virtio maintainer specifically asked for it to be removed).

It was re-added in late 2015 (using a more reliable method), but I doubt Ubuntu will backport that feature to LTS.
