Auf meinem alten Server und auf den meisten anderen Geräten, die ich ausgeführt habe, befindet sich ein mailProgramm.

Auf meinem neuen CentOS 6-Server, der Postfix als MTA ausführt, kann ich keine Befehlszeilen-E-Mail senden mail- das Tool ist nicht vorhanden.

Bei einem yum whatprovides mailAnruf bekomme ich nichts hilfreiches zurück:

In CentOS, this binary is provided by the mailx package:

yum install mailx

FYI, as the message at the bottom of your post indicates, you are using whatprovides incorrectly. Proper usage searching mirrors for a file called 'mail' would have been:

yum whatprovides */mail
