Ich versuche, den Simba-ODBC-Connector unter Windows Server 2008 x64 zu installieren. Nachdem ich auf die Installationsdatei geklickt habe, erhalte ich eine Fehlermeldung:

Simba ODBC connector requires Visual C++ 2010 runtimes (64 bit). Please use Windows update to install this and then re-run the setup program.

Ich ging zur Systemsteuerung -> Programme und Funktionen und fand dort Microsoft Visual C ++ 2010 Redistributable installiert.

Was könnte das Problem sein?

Visual C ++ 2010 erfordert Windows Server 2008 R2 (und ich hatte Windows Server 2008). Dann habe ich:

  1. Auf Windows Server 2008 R2 umgestellt
  2. Installierte Visual C ++ 2010 von der offiziellen Microsoft-Seite
  3. Dann installierte Simba ODBC-Connector!
