Remote-Installation von OS X 10.5 auf einem PowerBook G4

Ich habe vor kurzem ein PowerBook G4 erworben (die Apple-Architektur von PPC war bei Apple immer beliebt), derzeit ist OS X 10.4 installiert.

Ich kann leider nicht die Original-10.5-Installationsdisk finden, die ich hatte, obwohl ich vor einiger Zeit ein ISO-Image davon gemacht habe, das ich jetzt auf eine DVD-R-DL-Disc gebrannt habe (das SuperDrive ist nur eine DVD-R-Iirc). Diese Disc wird vom PowerBook G4 immer wieder ausgeworfen (liest alle anderen Discs außer einer).

Ich habe über eine Remote-Installation nachgedacht, aber die Anweisungen, die ich gesehen habe, sind für MacBooks - Ich habe DVD- oder CD-Sharing installiert, aber den Teil der Anweisungen ( http://guides.macrumors.com/Complete_Steps_to_Perform_a_Clean_OS_X_Reinstall_on_Your_MacBook_Air#Using_Remote_Install ) über den 'Install Assistant' bekomme ich so etwas nicht - nur den BootCamp Installer.

Meine Frage ist also: Wie mache ich eine Remote-Installation auf diesem PowerBook G4? Oder gibt es eine andere Alternative, ohne sich auf ein neues Laufwerk zu verzichten?

Außerdem habe ich heute ein schlankes, externes DVD +/- RW-Laufwerk gekauft, das auf meinem Windows-Computer einwandfrei lesbar ist, auf dem PowerBook jedoch nicht (über das externe Laufwerk). QuixoticAspie vor 12 Jahren 0

I had a similar problem installing OSX leopard to an iMac G4 (host). to solve the problem I put the OSX leopard disc in the optical drive of my power mac G5 (target). I then restarted the G5 in target disc mode by holding down the T key during startup. You will know this worked if you see the firewire symbol on your target computer. I then connected a firewire cable between the two computers. I powered on the G4 while holding down the option key. This will display all of the possible startup discs. I chose the optical drive of the G5 as the startup disc for the G4. The G4 then began the OSX leopard install using the disc in the optical drive bay of the G5.
